The Prairie Tractor and Engine Society is a dream come to life for six southern Alberta gentlemen with a penchant for the past and an interest in early agricultural machinery. Founded in 1982, the museum is home to hundreds of lovingly rebuilt and refurbished antique farming machines. Tractors, binders, threshers, combines, and dozens of other pieces of equipment are on display at this extraordinary facility, and many of them get their engines fired up for the Parade of Power, held at the museum each August.
St. Margaret's Church was built in 1907 and it's currently the oldest church building still in use, south and east of Medicine Hat. In the early 1940's the church was used a schoolhouse. In 1992 this historic building received an extensive restoration. While the church was originally built as Church of England (Anglican/Episcopalian), it is now operated on a non-denominational basis, administered by a non-profit society. The small church, which seats 32, is a living memorial to all those who helped settle the area. The church is kept open year-round and attracts nearly 1,600 visitors each year from around the world. Interdenominational services are offered on occasion.
