Mountain Galleries Mission is to support and promote living Canadian Artists.Founded in 1992 by Artist/Filmmaker Wendy Wacko, Mountain Galleries is one of the largest commercial galleries in Western Canada with locations in Banff, Jasper & Whistler. The collection represents major and mid-career artists. The diversity of the collection is part of their success, museum quality clay, glass, bronze and stone carvings are featured as well as a very carefully curated Inuit collection. The gallery also houses original paintings in oil, acrylic and water color as well as an interesting collection of private edition reproductions that are very reasonably priced.
The Jasper Park Information Centre, built in 1913-14, is one of the earliest and finest examples of rustic design in the national parks. Designed by Edmonton architect, A.M. Calderon, the Jasper Information Centre was intended to serve as a landmark and focal point for the town. Built in the rustic design tradition utilizing locally quarried stone and timber, the building set a design example for subsequent construction within the townsite. This vision of a unified architectural theme within the park was novel when first expressed by S. Maynard Rogers, Jasper's first park superintendent.
Jasper is home to a modern and well-equipped recreation centre. Inside, you’ll find a 5,000 sq-ft fitness centre includes a bouldering wall, stretching room, and spin-bike studio. The attached aquatic centre boasts a 25-metre, 6-lane pool, a shallow wading pool, a water slide three-storeys tall, and a diving board for swimmers. After swimming a few laps or splashing around with the kids, relax in the hot tub and steam room.

Their season runs from April through October, fishing a variety of lakes and rivers in the park, always aiming to send everyone home with a good story and an ear-to-ear grin. They invite you to enjoy one of their full day trips. Their National Park licensed, and first aid certified guide will bring all the required equipment. Their 21' canoes are stable enough to stand in without fear of tipping. They can provide return transportation from your accommodation, instruction, lunch (on full-day trips), foul weather gear, and your National Park Angler's License.
