Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park Provincial Parks

Cypress Hill is no gentle slope. It’s the highest spot in Canada east of the Rocky Mountains. This Interprovincial Park (politely shared with neighbouring Saskatchewan) is home to moose, elk, bobcats and a variety of deer. Year-round outdoor activities make it a popular destination whether the hill is covered in snow or sunshine.

  • Do this: Cypress is winter at the next level. Start with the wild bends of the natural luge track, and master a winter survival course too. You know, just in case.
  • Stay a while: After you set up camp near the beach, spend the day stand-up paddleboarding. Rentals are available in the town of Elkwater.
