Overview

Head to Devil's Coulee Dinosaur Museum in Warner (50 minutes south of Lethbridge) to learn about the exciting "Devil's Coulee Discovery" that was initiated in 1987 by Wendy Sloboda, a young local girl who found what she believed to be dinosaur eggshell along the Milk River Ridge. Famed Paleontologist Dr. Phillip Currie confirmed the pieces were dinosaur eggshell, and the prospecting that followed resulted in the formal discovery of a Hadrosaur (duckbill) dinosaur nesting site. Visitors to the museum can book informative guided tours to where the eggs were found, and explore the museum to see a Hadrosaur nest and embryo, murals, exhibits, ancient fossils, and dinosaur models. The museum's Heritage Gallery features artifacts and stories from more recent "early days" of the Warner region, from settlers to WWl and WWll (including the First Special Service Force, an elite fighting brigade during World War II) - and a "Women's Days of the Week" exhibit which depicts the importance of women in the early 1900s.
