Brewery Gardens

Loading...

The Brewery Gardens began as a disposal site for coal ash from the former brewery, which opened in 1950. When the brewery closed in 1990, the land was gifted to the City of Lethbridge and has since been transformed into a scenic landmark accessible through the Indian Battle Park trail system. Today, the Gardens pay tribute to the iconic High-Level Bridge—the longest and highest trestle bridge in the world—standing 96 metres tall and stretching 1,623 metres. Built in 1909, the bridge remains an engineering marvel, constructed with over 12,000 tonnes of steel, 328,000 rivets, and 7,600 gallons of paint. Visitors can stroll among vibrant seasonal garden displays while enjoying some of the most picturesque views in the city, making the Brewery Gardens a must-see destination in Lethbridge.
