Art Auction 2024

Art Auction returns to the Southern Alberta Art Gallery Maansiksikaitsitapiitsinikssin. Art Auction is the Gallery’s longest-running, much beloved annual auction—and an important opportunity to contribute to the Gallery’s work making southern Alberta a place where contemporary art creates and supports vibrant communities. The Art Auction invests right back into delivering the Gallery’s core mission by supporting programming and exhibitions throughout the year. They are inviting artists in their communities to submit works to be included in the live and online components of this year’s Art Auction. This year, they are offering participating artists the option of donating the full proceeds of their artwork or receiving 50% of the final sale proceeds. They encourage the submission of artworks that are already framed or do not require framing. To submit to this call, please complete the online application form no later than 11:59 pm MST on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024. Applicants will be notified of the results by March 1, 2024. Successful artists will be selected through a jury process based on the criteria for selection below. Applicants will be notified by March 1, 2023.
