Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park Campground is located on the Big Island, accessed by driving over the lake using the man-made causeway. It is located 5km east of Lac La Biche on Hwy. 881, and 2 km north on Provincial Park Rd. The group camping area is also near the main campground on Big Island. Rentals of canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are available to discover the waters of Lac la Biche. Trails throughout the Old Growth Forest allow campers to hike and bike to all the sandy beaches. The store on Big Island offers visitors many flavors of hard ice cream and camping gear if they have forgotten anything. Seasonal interpretive staff offer wonderful free programs to enhance and encourage visitors to learn more about the park they are visiting.
