Marten Mountain Viewpoint

At 1020 meters, Marten Mountain is the highest point of land for hundreds of square kilometres. From the Marten Mountain Viewpoint at its peak, take in a truly breathtaking view of Lesser Slave Lake and its forested slopes, ancient beach ridges, and shifting sand dunes. This day-use area within Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park is equipped with picnic tables and benches, allowing you to enjoy an outdoor meal or just relax and admire the view. Nearby hiking trails give you the opportunity to explore the surrounding forest, watch for birds, and look for plants normally found closer to the Rocky Mountains.
