The Majorville Cairn and Medicine Wheel consists of a central cairn, which is linked to a surrounding stone circle by 28 spokes, and the cultural landscape which contains this monument! The designation encompasses 160 acres and is situated on a height of land with an expansive view of the surrounding prairie landscape west of the Bow River in southern Alberta. PLEASE NOTE: If the visit is to simply view the location, no further permission is required from the leaseholder (Lomond Grazing Reserve). For any other activity, permission is required from the leaseholder and Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (AEP). This includes the flying of drones, which requires obtaining Temporary Field Authorization from AEP. The County may institute a fire ban during dry conditions or close when wet conditions have made the route inaccessible.
