Phyllis Lake Provincial Recreation Area

Phyllis Lake Provincial Recreation Area in Caroline’s West Country offers a quiet foothills lake escape for canoeing, fishing and electric-motor boating. Set among rolling foothills, this small scenic lake gives travellers calm waters ideal for paddling and casting a line. Anglers can spend unhurried days on the water, while those in canoes or small boats explore the shoreline at an easy pace. With only electric-powered motors allowed, the atmosphere stays peaceful and relaxed. Around 20 campsites accommodate both RVs and tents, making it simple to turn a day on the lake into an overnight stay. The recreation area sits just off Highway 22 and Highway 591, so visitors can pair time at the lake with a wider road trip through Alberta’s West Country.
