Oldman River Provincial Recreation Area

Oldman River Provincial Recreation Area near Fort Macleod offers peaceful riverside camping with easy access to outdoor activities. Open from mid-May to the end of September, the campground has 25 unserviced sites, including pull-through options. Firepits and vault or pit toilets are available. Visitors should bring their own drinking water because the onsite tap and pump sources are not potable. The day-use area makes it easy to settle in for a picnic beside the river or head out for fishing, canoeing or kayaking. Geocaching adds another way to explore the natural setting. With room to slow down and follow the river’s flow, it is a relaxed seasonal escape for campers and day visitors alike.
