Lineham Falls, located near Waterton Park in Alberta’s Southern Rockies, offers an easy forest and meadow day hike with rewarding waterfall views. This trail leads travellers through stands of lodgepole pine and aspen, opening into grassy meadows and passing tumbling cascades along the way. The route climbs steadily to a viewpoint 500 m (1,240 ft) above Lineham Falls, a postcard-perfect waterfall that gives the trail its name. The return journey is about 8 km and typically takes around 3 hours, making it a manageable outing for most hikers looking to spend a half day immersed in Southern Rockies scenery.
