Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory

Come out and see these tiny marvels of migration up close at the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory. Located in a natural funnelling area for migratory birds, this station is part of the Canadian Migration Monitoring Network. See science in action as their researchers learn more about the migratory and breeding birds in the boreal forest. Public Tours and education programs are available by contacting the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation. As a member of the Canadian Migration Monitoring Network, the LSLBO has been monitoring the migratory and breeding birds at Lesser Slave Lake since 1994. This non-profit society is dedicated to bird conservation through research and education.
