Kinosayo Museum

If you're up for a little drive, head down the highway to Kinuso. The Kinosayo Museum, founded in 1983, is run by a volunteer board, with the majority of its collections generously donated by local residents. For wildlife enthusiasts, the museum boasts one of the most developed wildlife exhibits in Northern Alberta. Kinosayo Museum's mission is to collect, research, preserve, and share the history and environmental heritage of Kinuso and its surrounding district. You’ll find fascinating collections from Indigenous culture, Ukrainian culture, pioneer life, and the early industries of logging, agriculture, hunting, and trapping. On the museum grounds, you can visit the fully restored Swan River School, a nostalgic step back in time. Nearby, a fully operational UGC grain elevator stands beside the railway, preserving an important piece of agricultural history for future generations to experience.
