Heritage Acres Farm Museum in the Southern Rockies near Pincher Creek offers a working farm museum experience where families can explore Alberta’s agricultural past. Set on 180 acres established after the Oldman River Dam was built, this museum is operated by the Old Man River Antique Equipment and Threshing Club. It focuses on preserving the region’s agricultural heritage from 1880 to 1960, with artifacts that are collected, restored, conserved and demonstrated on site. Visitors can wander among numerous relocated heritage buildings and watch century-old equipment in action, thanks to the size of the property. During summer events, it is common to see vintage tractors or horses and buggies moving through the grounds, creating a hands-on, living-history experience for guests of all ages.
