Fickle Lake has northern pike, lake whitefish, walleye, and perch. Various birds of prey and migratory waterfowl can be seen in the park. An interpretive trail leads from the beach area to remnants of the Elkoff’s trapper’s cabin. The round trip takes approximately 1 hour. The road to Fickle Lake and the parking lot are maintained in winter. Wildlife in the park includes bears, moose, deer, and beavers.
