Situated in the heart of the prairies, Back40 Distillery reflects the strong work ethic and passion for quality spirits shared by founders Rick Lazaruik and Lorne Haugen. They work to produce hand-crafted, small batch, gluten-free spirits. Their beet sugar comes from Taber, Alberta. As seasonal fruits become available, they source berries and apples from local growers in the Camrose area. They have been determined to support the local community from the very beginning, owing a great deal to their business to their family, friends, and neighbors who encouraged and supported them while they built their business. The cozy spot is a perfect place for small gatherings and special occasions. People are encouraged to take a tour of the facility and see firsthand Lorne and Rick’s passion at work.
