Edmonton Blues Festival

The Edmonton Blues Festival has been providing a slice of "Blues Heaven" for fans of the blues with a 3-day festival that has been running since 1999. Situated in the sonically superior and party-friendly Heritage Amphitheatre at Hawrelak Park in Edmonton's scenic river valley, the event has drawn visitors from as far away as New Zealand and Australia; across the United States, Europe and Canada. Recipient of the "Keeping the Blues Alive" award from the Blues Foundation in Memphis and a special proclamation from the City of Nashville to mark its 20th anniversary, the festival is committed to bringing the best blues music by the best singers, players and entertainers the blues world has to offer to Edmonton. Grammy winners, Maple Blues Award winners, Blues Music Award winners along with legends and up and comers create a blues experience second to none. Everybody loves the blues...some people just don't know it yet. Special rates and packages that include tickets and transportation to and from the site are available from their host hotel, The Chateau Louis Hotel and Conference Centre.
