Celebration of Dance

It’s a celebration of Ukrainian dance on Victoria Day at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village! Witness a dazzling display of Ukrainian dancers of all ages while also stepping back in time to explore our historical village. This opening weekend of their 2025 summer season also marks the start of 50th-anniversary celebrations for the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village. History is brought to life at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, an open-air museum depicting early settlement in east central Alberta from 1892-1930. Celebrating its 50th anniversary of being provincially operated in 2025, visitors to the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village can step back in time and explore more than 35 restored historic buildings and chat with costumed interpreters. Visitors can visit Eastern Byzantine Rite churches, a wooden grain elevator, a one- and two-room school, a blacksmith shop and farmstead homes and outbuildings. Save room for a delicious Ukrainian meal to complete the visit.
