Norquay’s annual pride ski day promises a vibrant lineup of events that capture the spirit of Pride in a fun and inclusive atmosphere. First up is the Drag Race, where style reigns supreme over speed. Skiers and boarders of all levels are invited to participate in this colorful two-run GS race on Cascade. The race kicks off at 1 pm, with racers meeting at the top of the Cascade chair. Spectators are encouraged to join in the excitement, and trophies and medals will be awarded in the Lone Pine category. Registration is free and can be done at Guest Services before midday. For those looking to explore the mountain and meet fellow Pride enthusiasts, the Snow Hosted Mountain Tours are a perfect fit. These guided tours, available at 10 am and 1 pm, offer a chance to discover Norquay’s favorite spots on the hill, from green runs to expert terrain. No registration is required, and participants can simply meet the guides outside the main lodge. After a thrilling day on the slopes, wind down at the S’more the Merrier event. Gather around a blazing fire beside the Cascade Lodge at 3 pm to share stories, enjoy delicious s’mores, and bask in the warm camaraderie of the Pride community. This cozy gathering is free with a season pass or lift ticket, providing a delightful end to the day’s festivities.
