The second-largest urban park in Canada, Fish Creek Park is a provincial park located in the southern part of Calgary. It is one of the largest urban parks in North America, stretching 19 km from east to west. Fish Creek flows along the length of the park and joins the Bow River on the east side of the park. It is home to the Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre, Sikome Aquatic Facility, Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant and Bow Valley Ranch Visitor Centre. With more than 80 kilometres of pathways, the park is popular for walking, hiking and biking. Bird watching is also a favourite activity with more than 200 bird species observed here.
