The Huber Dam Campground offers something for everyone. The nearby Huber Reservoir is stocked with trout, making it an ideal spot for anglers. Paddlers will also enjoy heading out on the water. The campground offers beautiful natural surroundings but is very close to the town of Castor, so it's easy to stock up on essentials or access services. Castor is 143 km (89 mi) east of Red Deer. There are 25 sites with power, plus overflow/non-power sites and a group camping area. Campers will also find a playground, boat launch, horseshoe pits, a camp kitchen and events building. Those who want to relax beside a bonfire in the evening can take advantage of free firewood. Be sure to bring water, as there is no potable water onsite. The water from the pump at the campsite can be used to extinguish campfires. Call 403-578-6196 for more information or to book a site.
