


Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site Campground
Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site Campground, located in Rocky Mountain House, offers heritage camping with historic fur-trade experiences. Guests can stay in an authentic tipi, Métis trapper tent or trapline cabin, with space for five to eight people, ideal for families and small groups. Those with their own gear can choose unserviced trailer sites or walk-in tent sites about 50 metres from parking. For visitors without equipment, staff provide a fully equipped camping setup, including tent, sleeping bags, stove and lantern. On site, guests can explore wild bison viewing, 10 km of hiking and biking trails, interactive exhibits and the archaeological remains of four fur-trade forts, open from May to September just east of town.
