Kneehill Historical Museum & Visitor Information Centre

Kneehill Historical Museum & Visitor Information Centre in Three Hills offers a visitor information centre and museum experience that helps travellers explore local history. Inside the visitor information centre, staff share extensive knowledge of area attractions, resources, and services, and can map out custom tours through Kneehill County and the Canadian Badlands. Guests can pause their travels to explore the museum’s collection, tracing local stories from First Nations through European settlement. Exhibits highlight the region’s creeks, buffalo jumps, and many bridges, along with artifacts showing how farmers faced harsh prairie conditions. Visitors can climb aboard a CN caboose, step into the station master’s world in the GTP-CN Station House, and see tools that reveal how people have lived and worked on the southern Alberta plains over time.
