Goldeye Lake Campground

Goldeye Lake Campground in Alberta’s West Country offers unserviced forested campsites beside a stocked lake for easy paddling, swimming and fishing. Set in Goldeye Lake Provincial Recreation Area, this campground sits 8 km west of Nordegg on Highway 11, then 3 km north along an access road, making it a simple escape into the foothills. More than 40 unserviced sites are tucked among aspen and spruce trees, giving campers a sense of privacy and a classic Alberta forest feel. Travellers can canoe or paddle the calm lake, cast a line for stocked fish, or cool off with a swim on warm days. A loop trail circles the shoreline, offering an easy walk with water views and plenty of fresh mountain air.
