Fallen Timber South Provincial Recreation Area

Fallen Timber South Provincial Recreation Area, located near Bighorn No. 8 in Alberta’s West Country, offers camping with easy access to foothills trails. Set in the rolling foothills west of Cochrane, this recreation area works well as a base camp for exploring nearby hiking, fishing and OHV routes. Campers can settle into a forested site, then quickly reach surrounding trails and waterways for a full day outside. Registered campers may offload OHVs and ride directly from their campsites to designated trails, making it convenient to head out for a ride without extra trailering or driving.
