Elk Creek Provincial Recreation Area

Elk Creek Campground is found in Elk Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 65 km southwest of Rocky Mountain House on Forestry Trunk Road (Hwy. 734). This small campground near the Clearwater River provides a base for those wishing to fish or explore hiking and equestrian trails in the area. This campground is maintained by the Friends of the Eastern Slopes; a non-profit organization that operates campgrounds through positive and proactive volunteer efforts. A nightly fee is not charged for the campground, however, campers are encouraged to purchase a $30 annual membership to this organization to support their volunteer efforts and operation of this campground.
