This year, the Galt Museum & Archives / Akaisamitohkanao'pa, in collaboration with Movie, proudly presents 41 groundbreaking films, including 30 premieres from across the globe—showcasing works from Indonesia, Portugal, Brazil, the UK, Netherlands, Malawi, Switzerland, Egypt, the USA, as well as a wide selection from local and Canadian filmmakers. LIFF bridges local roots with global creativity, offering a rich tapestry of genres and styles to appeal to every audience member, regardless of age or taste. The festival places a spotlight on films created by and about BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, feminist, neurodiverse, differently abled, and other underrepresented communities. Attendees can look forward to exclusive premieres with cast and crew in attendance, special events featuring director and actor Q&As, and live performances. The festival’s diverse and inclusive stories are sure to inspire, challenge, and move its audience.
