ATC Festival

The ATC Cultural Festival is a vibrant four-day celebration of Cree, Dene, and Métis heritage held in Fort McMurray's historic Waterways district. Hosted by the Athabasca Tribal Council, the event features traditional ceremonies, cultural workshops, powwow dancing, music, storytelling, and a dynamic hand games tournament. Visitors can explore a traditional village with tipis and sacred fires, enjoy Indigenous cuisine in the Gathering Tent, and shop authentic artwork in the gift gallery. With over 14,000 attendees in 2024, the festival is one of Alberta’s most significant Indigenous cultural events, offering a powerful experience of community, connection, and tradition.
