With its spectacular mountain views, the Historic Cochrane Ranche Site is the original site of Alberta's first large-scale livestock operation established by Senator Matthew Cochrane in 1881. It’s now a year-round public park space, spanning 136 acres, complete with picnic tables, fire pits and an outdoor stage. The historic Westerson Cabin hosts a variety of free nature, culture and heritage demonstrations on Saturday mornings (late May to August) during the Farmers Market. The ranche is also home to the Cochrane Historical Museum, which is open seasonally in the summer.

An interpretive walk through the sanctuary allows visitors to see the sanctuary and view the various packs of wolfdogs at your own pace. This is a great opportunity to learn interesting facts about wolves and wolfdogs and support the sanctuary. This is a self-guided tour.
A 45-60 minute program where guests will meet two wolfdog packs inside enclosures, getting the chance to interact and learn all about them. Guests will also get the opportunity to view the other animals that also reside at the Sanctuary on the Sanctuary Walk. Advanced reservations required.
