Lake Athabasca

Lake Athabasca is located in the northeast of the province on the Alberta-Saskatchewan border; about 70 percent lies within Saskatchewan and the remainder in Alberta. The lake is fed by the Athabasca and Peace rivers and drains north via the Slave River into Great Slave Lake. The lake is a popular destination for fly-in fishing and can be accessed from Fort McMurray.
