Brazeau Collieries Historic Mine Site

The Brazeau Collieries Historic Mine Site is both a Provincial and National Historic Resource. Guided tours of this industrial coal mine site are offered during the summer months. Journey through a 1950s coal briquette plant or tour the auxiliary buildings to discover how this remote facility operated. Tours of the Brazeau Collieries Historic Mine Site start at the Nordegg Heritage Centre. Off HWY 11 turn south into the Nordegg townsite onto Stuart Street, it's the two-story yellow building on the left side of Stuart Street.
