Writing on Stone Provincial Park is located 100 km (62 mi) southeast of Lethbridge. Áísínai´pi, meaning, “it is pictured/written”, is a place that protects the largest collection of rock art on the North American plains. The park also has historical connections to the North West Mounted Police and the early settlers. At the visitor center, exhibits tell the stories of Writing-on-Stone. Experience the mystical Milk River Valley in a campground among the cottonwoods. Stay in a comfort camping site, book a guided tour or take part in the programs that offer a glimpse into the park’s history and culture.
