Danish Canadian National Museum

The Danish Canadian National Museum is located just south of the hamlet of Dickson in a building that originally served as a dormitory for students attending high school in Dickson. Explore the story of Danish immigration to Canada--a saga that began over 1000 years ago at L'Anse aux Meadows through two more waves told through the living history buildings including The Thomsen Cabin, CPR House, and Dagmar Pioneer Church. Experience Danish food in the Saga Cafe, browse the giftshop, wander the 14 acres of trails and gardens. Enjoy a coffee on our deck overlooking the pond with its very own Mermaid, a view of the Naust (boathouse) housing the Freydis Joanna (Viking Ship).
