Overview

On April 29th in 1903, 110 million tonnes of rock thundered from Turtle Mountain and buried part of a town. Canada’s deadliest rockslide. 90 Seconds Changed Their Lives. Visitors can feel the impact of the Frank Slide story in a personal, interactive and creative setting, involving first-hand accounts by the people who lived through the destruction. Stand on the edge of destruction and marvel at the awesome power of nature or take a walk through the massive boulders and imagine what it must have been like. Get out into the spectacular Rocky Mountain landscape and discover the unexpected with a guided or self-guided walk on the Frank Slide Trail. Enjoy two high definition, award-winning presentations in the Centre’s theatre.
