Whitecourt Forest Interpretive Centre
The Forest Interpretive Centre, located just off Highway 43 on Whitecourt’s southeast edge, is the region’s premier visitor hub. Home to the official Visitor Information Centre, it equips guests with everything they need to explore the area with confidence. Inside, the Interpretive Gallery and museum exhibits highlight the forest industry’s impact on the region, while a special display tells the story of the Whitecourt Meteorite, including directions for those wishing to visit the impact site. Outdoors, Heritage Park invites visitors to stroll scenic trails, explore three historic buildings, enjoy the playground, or take a guided tour. The grounds are also ideal for Northern Lights viewing. Amenities include public washrooms, free WiFi, a 76-seat auditorium/multi-purpose room, and a small meeting space with audio/visual equipment. Whether passing through or planning a longer stay, the Forest Interpretive Centre offers insight, inspiration, and a welcoming stop.
