Etherington Creek Campground

Tucked into the serene Highwood Valley, Etherington Creek Campground offers a peaceful getaway just southwest of Longview via Highway 541 and Forestry Trunk Road. With over 60 spacious, treed campsites available for both RVs and tents—including a handful of walk‑in-only spots—it strikes a perfect balance between accessibility and nature immersion. Operated seasonally, it accepts reservations 90 days in advance for most of the season, while a handful of first-come, first-served sites remain available on self-registration. Guests enjoy essential amenities such as firepits, vault toilets, and a hand‑pump water source (though bringing your own drinking water is still advised), and the campground qualifies for a camping fee discount for Albertan seniors. A gateway to adventure, it lies surrounded by extensive trails ideal for hiking, horseback riding, and cycling, making it an excellent base for exploring the striking landscapes of Kananaskis Country.
