Air-ristocrat Balloon Rides and Promotions

Get a new perspective on the central Alberta landscape courtesy of the friendly adventurers at Air-ristorcrat Balloons. Central Alberta-owned and operated since 2003, it is a one-stop shop for hot air balloons. Their Red Deer-based company offers hot air balloon rides seven days a week from May to October. Flights take place in the morning and must be booked in advance. The cost is $325 per person. The experience lasts about an hour and can accommodate up to six passengers, up to 1200lbs. They also have the only accessible balloon basket of its kind in Canada. Up to 2 seats!! Tether rides are available for special events, as are walk-in balloons. The latter is when a balloon is tied to the ground at both ends, then cold-inflated. This lets people walk inside the balloon and see how it’s put together. Air-ristocrat offers flight training programs for those who take a flight and get bitten by the hot air balloon bug, as well as a fully qualified repair station for balloons.
