Whitehorse Creek Campground

Set within the scenic Whitehorse Creek Provincial Recreation Area, this equestrian-focused campground lies just southwest of Cadomin along a gravel road, offering a peaceful riverside retreat near the confluence of Whitehorse Creek and the McLeod River. Operating seasonally from May through October, the site includes unserviced equestrian campsites—among them several outfitted with corrals, pens, tie stalls, hitching rails, and a loading ramp—designed specifically for horse-owning campers. While most equestrian sites require reservations by phone, one camping spot is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors enjoy amenities like firepits, free firewood, pit or vault toilets, and a hand-pump water source (though bringing your own drinking water is recommended). The location also serves as a convenient staging area for trail access into Whitehorse Wildland Provincial Park, perfect for horseback riding, backcountry hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing.
