Whitecourt Snowmobile trail system is a part of the 350 km Golden Triangle Trails. The Golden Triangle Snowmobile trail system includes connecting trails in the Towns Whitecourt, Swan Hills, and Fox Creek with the counties of Woodlands, Big Lakes, and MD of Greenview. Whitecourt has an additional 360 km of snowmobile trails. The trails in the region are maintained by the Whitecourt Trailblazer Club for sledding enthusiasts of all types - ages and skills. Great signage on the trails. 3 Warm-up shelters and 4 lookouts. Trails in the north and the south with staging areas. Amazing scenery with views, foliage, wildlife, and pure backcountry experiences and adventures. Many hills, a variety of terrain on the entire system. Remember you are in the backcountry, so have extra fuel, food, and safety equipment on hand. The Golden Triangle is a bucket list experience that is sure to appeal to adventurists. The trail ride is about a 12-hour ride, there they recommend riding the trails over 3 days. Please check in with the Clubs as to the status of the trails and or map info by visiting their social media and/or website for updates. All amenities are available in town.
