Whitecourt Snowmobile Trail in Whitecourt, Alberta offers extensive groomed sledding routes with warm-up shelters for a full-day backcountry adventure. This snowmobile trail system is part of the 350 km Golden Triangle Trails, connecting Whitecourt with Swan Hills and Fox Creek through Woodlands County, Big Lakes County and the MD of Greenview. Whitecourt also features an additional 360 km of snowmobile trails, maintained by the Whitecourt Trailblazer Club for riders of all ages and skill levels. Riders will find clear signage, three warm-up shelters, four scenic lookouts and staging areas on both northern and southern trails. Expect varied terrain, rolling hills and views of foliage and wildlife that create a true backcountry experience. The Golden Triangle is a bucket list ride of about 12 hours, often enjoyed over three days, with all amenities available in town and current trail status shared by local clubs online.
