Westerner Park

Since 1891, Westerner Park has been a hub for Central Albertans to gather and experience community through events. Westerner Park is both an agricultural society and a registered not-for-profit. They invest all of their earnings back into the improvement of their buildings, their grounds, and their amenities. Facilitating and hosting unique events that draw crowds to Red Deer and Central Alberta is an integral part of their mission. Each year, Westerner Park generates more than $150 million in economic activity, and more than 1.5 million visitors come through their gates to celebrate over 1,000 unique events. From weddings and banquets, hockey games, and agricultural shows to concerts and trades shows, they continue to be there as Central Albertans join to share in their most memorable moments. *NEW in 2026 is their inaugural Red Deer Pro Rodeo event, bringing a pro rodeo back to Red Deer.
