Whatever cruise you choose, you’ll get a local perspective on the history, wildlife and topography of Waterton Lakes National Park. The Canada-USA Border Cruise takes 1.25 hours. It goes about halfway down the lake to the international border, but no passport is required to sail. The Interpretive Sightseeing Cruise is a 2.25-hour roundtrip and docks at Goat Haunt Ranger Station in the U.S. If you plan to stay longer than the 30-minute stop, you will need a passport. The company’s third route serves those who need to get from Waterton to the Crypt Lake Hike.
