Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre

Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre is a half-acre pocket garden that will feature the stories of some 250 regional Killed in Action Soldiers, stories of local and regional heroes, murals, and 8 themed gardens, such as The Metis Soldiers Garden, The Indigenous Soldiers Garden, Animals of War, Women of War and more. The first 73 soldiers' stories, like all those that have been unearthed, give a person insight into what it meant to be a soldier in World War One and Two from Northwestern Alberta. Veterans Memorial Gardens & Interpretive Centre offers an outdoor commercial kitchen, and a thousand square feet of meeting space, and is a venue for Indigenous Veterans Day, Motorcycle Mondays, and a host of other events.
