Troll Falls Trail

For the most current trail conditions and closures, please visit the Alberta Parks website. Troll Falls is a popular, family-friendly trail located in Kananaskis Country, offering an easy and scenic forested route suitable for most experience levels. The main trail leads to the namesake waterfall, a favourite destination for those seeking a short and accessible hike. The Upper Troll Falls extension follows Marmot Creek, revealing a series of smaller cascades and viewpoints that reward those who continue past the lower falls. The trail is open year-round and becomes a magical destination in winter, when the waterfalls freeze into dramatic ice formations. Micro-spikes are strongly recommended during colder months, as the trail can become icy and slippery. Note: Biking is not permitted on the final, narrower section of the trail leading to the falls. Distance: - 2.8 km / 1.74 mi / Return - 3.7 km / 2.3 mi / Return (Upper Falls) Elevation: - 70 m / 229 ft (Upper Falls)
