Trapping Adventures - Tawatinaw Tours

This three-to-five-day trapping Adventure offers guests an immersive wilderness experience designed for up to four people. Transportation from Victor Lake is included, along with overnight stays in an authentic trapping cabin warmed by a wood stove. Guests are provided with traditional trapping equipment, snowshoes, full safety gear, and all meals featuring both traditional and modern foods. Extra winter clothing and first aid supplies are available to ensure a safe and comfortable trip. Throughout the adventure, participants learn to understand animal intelligence and tracking, exploring predator-prey relationships and reading tracks for the stories they reveal. Instruction covers traditional trapping wisdom passed down through generations, focusing on ethical practices, respectful trap line management, and the purpose behind each technique. This experience offers hands-on skills, cultural knowledge, and a deeper connection to the land.
