The Woods Experience, nestled in Alberta's boreal forest, is 90 minutes west of Edmonton. This Mètis family-owned Indigenous Tourism Alberta destination offers cabin and Tipi stays, The Wilderness Spa, and Native Wild Trading Post & classroom space. Accommodations are off-grid but luxurious, with comfortable beds, linens, heat, and amenities. Traditional Tipis provide an authentic experience with fire for warmth and cooking, culinary samples, and fur-crafted décor. The Wilderness Spa features a wood-fired hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, and fire lounge area, offering private sessions for total relaxation and privacy. Guests enjoy 360-degree forest views, feeling rejuvenated and grounded. In partnership with Native Wild, The Woods Experience offers courses, workshops, and land-based teachings, often featuring elders and instructors sharing their skills and knowledge. They believe hands-on interactions are the best way to learn and grow.
