The Olympic Oval

The Olympic Oval in Calgary offers year-round speed skating, public skating and running in a world-class facility with a focus on health and wellness. Located on the University of Calgary campus, this high-performance venue is home to the Fastest Ice in the World™, where more than 300 world records have been set in long and short-track speed skating since 1987. Visitors can watch elite athletes train or take to the ice themselves during public skating sessions. In addition to ice activities, the facility offers public running, giving travellers and locals an indoor option to stay active. Primarily a winter sports hub, it also operates as an ice-out venue in spring, opening the doors to a wider range of events and community use.
