The Lodge at Bow Lake is a beautifully restored alpine retreat located along the shores of Bow Lake in Banff National Park. Originally built in the 1920s by explorer Jimmy Simpson, the lodge—formerly Num-Ti-Jah—blends historic charm with modern comfort. Surrounded by glacier-fed waters and rugged peaks, it offers guests a peaceful, off-grid escape with no cell service or Wi-Fi. Accommodations range from cozy, cabin-style rooms to the luxurious Num-Ti-Jah Suite, all including a gourmet four-course dinner, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Guests can unwind in Jimmy’s Living Room, dine at the Elkhorn Dining Room, or grab a coffee at the seasonal Provision Co. Café. With hiking trails, glacier views, and wildlife just steps away, the Lodge is the perfect base for exploring the Icefields Parkway. Deeply rooted in local history and Indigenous respect, it’s a serene mountain experience ideal for those seeking beauty, connection, and stillness in nature.
