Loading...

Founded in 1989, the Arboretum and Gardens at Trochu offers a remarkable five-acre forest garden set in the heart of the prairies. This peaceful oasis showcases an impressive collection of tree species, creating a vibrant and diverse landscape unlike anything else in the region. Visitors can wander along red shale pathways that wind through unique varieties of pine, spruce, elm, larch, birch, maple, oak, and willow. These towering trees are complemented by a wide range of understory shrubs and smaller species, adding depth and texture to every corner of the grounds. Throughout the seasons, perennial and annual flower beds provide continuous colour, blooming from early spring well into the fall. The Arboretum stands as a living celebration of nature, offering a serene and beautiful destination for exploration, learning, and quiet enjoyment.
