Tail Creek Park

Tail Creek Park sits on the banks of the Red Deer River near Nevis, which is about 22 km (13 mi) west of Stettler in central Alberta. The gated campground is just off Highway 21, so it’s easy to find. It’s also pretty easy to enjoy. The 70 sites (serviced and unserviced) include riverside and seasonal sites. A shower house is also available. Large trees offer shade and a little privacy for campers. However, Tail Creek Park also has a strong community spirit. Special events for seasonal campers include potlucks, karaoke-and-pie nights, a ribs and chili competition, and even an end-of-season pig roast. Campers get easy access to the Red Deer River, which is great for tubing and paddling. The beach area is a great spot to relax and soak up the sun. The campground is open from May to October 15 annually.
